From time to time, I reference people and teachings that have inspired me.  Here you will find a catalog of quotes, names, and books that I refer to in my writing.  I hope this reference provides additional encouragement for you.

George Muller

• On Death to Self — “There was a day when I died, utterly died.  Died to George Muller, his opinions, preferences, tastes and will — died to the world, its approval or censure — died to the approval or blame of even my brethren and friends — and since then I have studied to show myself approved only unto God.”
• On Praying in His Will — I seek at the beginning to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in regard to a given matter. Nine-tenths of the trouble with people generally is just here. Nine-tenths of the difficulties are over come when our hearts are ready to do the Lord’s will, whatever it may be. When one is truly in this state, it is usually but a little way to the knowledge of what His will is.
